Singapore Olympics 2032
Singapore is a multiracial and multicultural country with ethnic Chinese 76.2%, Malay 15.0%, Indian 7.4% (includes Sri Lankan), other 1.4%. Hence the circles was equally cut into 4 pieces to show the different ethnics group. The Chinese make up majority of the population hence the logo was done using Chinese characters.
Using the 8 x 8 Grid System because Eight (Ba in Chinese) has the similar pronunciation with 发 (Fa, meaning wealth or fortune), this number is very welcome among Chinese people.
Adopt the Olympic spirit of building communities and consider sports and other competitive activities that are specific to, or made possible by your local area. Select a minimum of six diverse disciplines that will form the basis of a new Local Olympics. The disciplines can be as well-known or unheard-of as you like, but they must connect to the geography, climate or traditions of your corner of the world. The aim is to bring people together through sport and to celebrate everything that makes home, home. Having selected your disciplines, develop a format, strategy and branding that promotes the event to the wider world – inspiring people to enter, volunteer, compete and support.
